???WHY??? does it stall??
Hi & thanks for reading. I have a '94' 940 that I've owned now for 6 VERY exciting months. ("Will it start today" [:@] "Hope we don't stall") 2 questions that have plagued me over the last 180 days!! The starting problem happens WHENEVER (hot or cold ) The stalling problem same thing WHENEVER(hot or cold) When it stalls sometimes it will start after a few cranks sometimes 10 up to 60 mins later YOU NEVER KNOW I checked for spark & its getting it. Sometimes I smell fuel. Luckily I got it home last time it was acting up Now it cranks & cranks just won't kick over. If anyone does HELP ME can you please let me know what, where, & how to check the part that I need to check. What should I do??? Man-made reef perhaps?? THANKS

RE: ???WHY??? does it stall??
You need to check for injector pulse.
The speed sensor might be bad, The power stage might be bad, The fuel pump might be bad.
Did you try pulling codes?
If not follow link to learn how.

Then post the codes and it will help us more.

RE: ???WHY??? does it stall??
Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm tryin to save money here so if I could do it I will. I checked the codes & heres what I got. 2-2-3 (idle valve signal), 1-3-2 (battery voltage), 2-3-3 (idle valve-closing signal). I am going to pick up a Chilton manual today but any help on where & what to do with these parts would be well appreciated. Also could you tell me where the fuel pump is located tech???
