Default S80 (2003) windscreen washer pump replacement?

Hi all, I have a problem with my Volvo S80 2.4 2003, namely windscreen washer pump does not work (it doesn't even make the sound - I guess it's dead, apparently a common issue in Volvo's). I would like to replace it and don't really know how to begin, as the access is severely limited. Is it necessary to remove the bumper or inner fender (I would like to avoid that at all cost)?

Thanks

Is it freezing cold where you live? Lately I've noticed a couple of people have been having a concern with their washer fluid pumps and it's because the fluid froze and the pump won't run, won't even make any noise. Make sure it has the winterized washer fluid which has more alcohol. This may not be your issue, but if you do need the pump Inner fender can be moved out of the way without completely removing it.
