S80 water leak
Hey guys, I originally posted this under specific car but got know response..anyone??
Suddenly noticed my passenger side floor was wet other day in rain storm. Actually could see two small trails of water running down inside molding from around about underneath corner of the dash. I pulled the SRS service cover off and saw droplets and it appeared the sound insulation was wet inside..any suggestions?
Sorry this is a 2008 S-80 3.2..base...wondering also if there is a way to find brake size..i bought the car used and time for service.
THANKS

Open the sun roof and look in the corner of the sunroof frame. You should see the tubes there. You can pour water in the tracks and see if it drains out the bottom of the car, if not, you will need to clear the drains.
I have also read of people having the window base cowling clogged with tree debris. When you open the hood, do you have a lot of tree trash built up on that plastic part at the base of the windshield?

There r 2 ways u can do that. first by getting a cert. tech. to do it for u. or DIY but require some safety procedure when u r working around airbag. But if u r going to DIY u may want to disconnect the battery then wait at least 30 min. before u work on the airbag.
There is nothing to worry with that airbag, you're working around it but unless you're goings to give it pet nothing is going to happen because you don't have to disconnect it. Even if you diff have top disconnect it there's no need to remove the negative battery cable, to me it's a waste of time and an unneeded step.

Well I make money based on how fast I do the job, so the faster I get the job done the faster I can get to the next job. So when I say that it is a waste of my time it is exactly that, a waste of my time.
Next question..need brakes..all the parts stores show 300, 316, 336MM for sizes so i called Volvo parts..they say mine has 16 inch..sooo American parts store use metric..Euro cars use American confused..lol..assuming I would get 300mm as they are smallest and other brakes sizes are 16.5 / 17.5 inch???
