Question Seafoam?

Amazon.com: Sea Foam Motor Tune - Up: Sports & Outdoors
Has anybody used this product, "Seafoam?" It boasts very high user reviews, but being a fuel additive, I am still highly skeptical of it. Wondering if anybody from around here has had luck with it.

If it helps, I have a 1995 940 turbo with 100K miles.

I've put in two cars that needed O2 sensors replaced immediatly after. Poured some in the crankcase of a car that NEVER dripped oil, it does now.

It has multiple functions. Fuel system cleaner, crankcase vent system and engine oil system flush. It is usually fine in normal use and flusing a good system but can be the straw that breaks the camels back. I'm actually afraiid to use it because it can be harsh.

Interesting, so is it possible to know beforehand whether using it would be beneficial or harmful?

No, it's a crap shoot. If you think you have a solid system then you'll likely be fine. If that's the case, why use it in the first place???

I think it is safe to use in the fuel system but in the crank case and oil makes me nervous.

I've used it in fuel systems, ('99 Dodge Caravan, '02 GMC, motorcycles, etc, etc) and I've used their transmission product in my 2000 V70XC with good results. Yes, I'll buy their stuff again.

I used it in my dads '99 V70 both in crank case and through intake, and my step mothers '04 GMC Denali in the crankcase with no problems and really good results. Today I put it in my '98 S70 GLT trough intake (I've done it thru crankcase in it with wonderful results already).... first thing that went bad was smoke started coming from where I think the turbo is (under the metal plate by the firewall? I could certainly be wrong) but then on my way home, my notorious blue smoke showed up >:/ (I know I have slightly bad rings in 4 and 5 but it has only ever smoked twice then stops) then on came the check engine light. I will be pulling codes tomorrow... I was a firm believer, perhaps my car just wasn't ready for it.
