Helo folks.

i drive a volvo s40, 2.4, 2004 model
my car has started making a strange whistling sound on idle..i suspect the sound is around the oil system because when i remove the deep stick, the sound goes off...

if anyone has ever experienced this, please advice me how to fix my volvo, i love her with all of my heart....

 

Yes the oil trap box (the oil filter housing) has failed. You need to replace the oil filter housing and the hose that goes from the housing up to the can cover.
