I have a s90 and the cable to open the hood broke. What is the easiest way to get the hood open?

Is the hood fully latched shut? On my old 850, which uses a similar hood release, I was able to remove the grill from the outside and undo the safety latch that way. In my case, the release connection broke, not the cable.

 

how do you remove grill from outside? Assume that would work for me

 

I did some research online, and the way the 850 grill clips in place, is completely different than an S90. So my experience wont help you here. Sorry about that. But the 850 used slide clips that I was able to push and unlock from under the hood and then pull the bottom of the grill out to reach the top ones.
