Default Taking the 960 on the Mullholland Hwy in L.A. this past weekend

I wanted to share some photos and my experience from my drive on the Mullholland Hwy in Los Angeles this past weekend. If you don't know, the Mullholland Hwy is a nice, windy 50 mile stretch of road that starts around Griffith Park and ends north of Malibu at Leo Carrillo State beach. Even if you have never driven it, you probably have seen the famous part of the Hwy called "The Snake." Jay Lenno is seen driving the hwy on the weekends along with exotic cars and motorcyclists enjoying the twisty pavement.

This 50 mile stretch of pavement is a great drive through the mountains and I would recommend anyone that loves to drive, especially their Volvos, take a Sunday to drive the 50 miles. You will be glad you did. I did meet some Volvo heads at the Snake, a few guys that are regs on Turbobricks.com. Anyway here are some photos from the drive. Enjoy!

Me next to the 960 at the Snake Corner. There was a good crowd on hand watching the action.

My fiance Rose enjoying the view at the Snake.

Stopped at the Cornell Winery tasting room. Great place with a lot of history...and wild Peacocks roaming around!

The 960 with Leo Carrillo State beach in the background. This is at the end of the journey with about 5 miles to go before hitting the PCH.

The 960 is smiling big from the great drive. This was the first big journey/drive we have taken with the 960 and it was amazing!

Our fun windy road around here is call Hwy 7. It goes from I-40 (Russellville AR) to Harrison AR, about 85 miles. Right through the Ozark Nationa Forest. There are a lot of blind curves and the only down side to it is that people bicycle it and there are lots of "Beware of Bicyclist" signs. It's actually a stressful drive.
