hey all, we recently decided that after the car is fixed for the ets issue tomorrow for free....we are going to get rid of it for something else just in case we have the same problems the poor guy in Minnesota has......anyways, i talked to a friend of mine at a chevy dealership, ( a salesman)and they said our car is only worth 2000 to 4500 dollars??!!....can this be right?? We just got the car 4 1/2 months ago on a straight across trade from a 01 eclipse gts wich worked out to 10,800. Our S70 has 115,000 miles, AWD, in very good shape and very clean, with tires right around 50%, and wholesalers said between 2000 to 4500. we called a Volvo dealership, and they said they would buy it, but of course need to see it first, but they said typically its around what NADA says its worth for trade in value which our carr books at 8300

can someone please shed some light for me here? if the car was a 98 we would not get rid of it, but with that problem, and us having 4 kids, i dont want to risk it for their safety

 

It should be worth around $8k, I have the same car. However way lower miles, not even 80,000 miles yet on mine.
