Maybe I'm biased because I live in a city (Springfield, Mo.) with a Saab, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, and even a Lamborghini dealership, but no Volvo dealership. I am certain there used to be one here but I'm assuming there has been a recent rash of Volvo dealer closings. Now, the closest dealerships are in Kansas City (150 miles away) and Tulsa (160 miles away).

What is the deal? Why such a poor dealer network? I see new Volvos everywhere here (meaning there is certainly a market) and to say the least it is a pain to drive to KC or Tulsa for warranty service.

I'm new to the Volvo scene - are there any plans to expand the Volvo dealer network anytime soon? Otherwise, my first Volvo might be my last (a shame, because I love my new Volvo).
