Default Volvo Extended Warranties

I have a 2006 S60 with 49,700 miles on it. Bought it from the dealer with 44,000 miles. I have the option of buying the extended warranty before i hit 50,000.

All of the programs start at about 1800-2300 for 24 months/25,000 (more).

Have any of you purchased these? Are they worth it?

Is there much that typically breaks/wearsout/needs replacement between 50-75,000 miles? The car has been really well maintained and has run perfectly over the last 5,000 miles.

Just trying to see if its money well spent or if it the general maintenance and $$ spent will be a better deal.

Thanks.

In my case it did not cover anything except a front hub on my 98 V70. My warranty expired before I could really use it for anything.
