i bought a volvo s40 on monday 1996 2.0i petrol i have put 40 pound in this week lucky if i have done 90 miles and light has come on there are no leaks but i can smell petrol i had it back at garage this week he done some work on filler cap but it still smells plus a green triangle comes on every now and again can any1 shed any light as to whats wrong i have to take back to garage on monday please help

 

i have been told the triangle green light is some thing to do with emissions is this why it could be using to much petrol and the smell of petrol in the car
