Default Front seat disassembly

So, I get this parts car, take the head off it 'which is why I bought it in the first place', strip everything of value to me. Get a boat load of parts for my cars, and my seats are pretty much 'ruined. Cracked leather etc...so I take the seats out of my parts car and think hey can i just take the leater from the back seat, take the covers off the front seat and have new panels sewn in? Ok, so I have a plan, trouble is man these seats are a BEAR to take apart...more hog rings and wires than the electrical company. Ends up I will be selling parts to several different people and the car basically pays for itself 2x over. between the money I save, the parts I sell and the scrap value...

I am trying to disassemble the front seats so I can get the covers off. I got the cushion cover off but the seat back cover is damn near impossible, any ideas?

Yes that one is a pain did you unfold the leather from each side?
Then to get the lumbar **** off unscrew till it stops then pull put and unscrew more it might be tough but force some and it will screw.

Then cut the hog rings and pull it off

Damn tech, is there anything you haven't done to these cars...Thanks Man, I will have to give it a shot, When I do finally get it, then I have to take the leather to an upholstery shop and let them sew the new stuff in place for me...provided it isn't to expensive...I cannot believe just how much work it is to get the seat covers off...

Yes it is a major pain in the A**.
But once you do it a couple of dozen times it is second nature.

Well, I was successful in getting the leather off, and I pulled the leater from the rear seat of my parts car, and I had the local upholsterer sew in the leather for me, looks good, but haven't put it together yet...LOL
Found some 'cheap' seats today...that my be better in my ride...Go Figure...Look for the seat quesiton in the 850 area...
