Every 3rd or 4th time I start the engine most of the dashboard doesn't work, the radio doesn't turn on, and the power windows don't work. Usually if I shut the engine off and restart everything comes back on. But today I tried that 3 times and it didn't come back on until a few hours later when I went out for a ride again. Sometimes that includes the turnsignals and lights, sometimes not.

 

There is a separate set of contacts in the ignition switch that turns that stuff on. Probably, you can move the ignition switch back and forth a little after starting and you will see that these things will turn on.
