Hi I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction. I bought my daughter a 01 s40 and it had been burning thru oil enough that it needed to have oil added weekly. Problem is my kid didn't listen to the car or even check it unless I told her to, her boyfriend is not very smart either because he decided that he would put oil in without checking it first during or after he added a full 5qts to it. Not until they called me broke down with the car making the most awful noise possible. It's knocking so loud it sounds like it wants to blow up. I drained the oil changed the filter and nothing changed. Can someone tell me what's the next thing to do besides scrap the car?
