Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and drive a 2005 V50. I've done about 90% of any of the work on it that's needed to be done, except any computer stuff. I love this car, but at 180,000 miles, it's starting to give me problems. This one might have been my fault. Car was working well, but power steering went out. I decided to replace the transmission mount under the battery since I had their part and was getting all dirty changing the power steering pump. After replacing those, I started up the car, shifted in gear, then when I went to put it back in park, the car just stayed in Drive. The gear shift moved to the park position but it was still in drive and the "D" was still lit. There were no issues at all with shifting before this. I believe I may have jacked up the transmission too much when I removed the old mount to replace it and must have done something to a cable or sensor?

Anyhow, any help or ideas would be great. I'd really love to fix this myself if possible. Thank you for any help and time you have!
