Newbie here! Really nice guy sold me my 9th Volvo yesterday and mentioned that he couldn't locate what I think he termed as a cold air injector. He said the car would run fine without it if you just allow it to heat up before jetting off. My question - are these items scarce and am I, as he asserts, able to go without? I live in a fairly warm climate here in GA.

Second, I would like to thank you all in advance for helping me finalize restoration of the cool car by answering questions from time to time.
