Default buying help.

Hi Everyone.
Id first like to thank everyone for there help and i’m sure this may have previously been asked somewhere in the forums but am hoping for more up to date help.

Im looking at buying a 2011 s60 T6 R Design
70,000 on clock few wear and tear issues.
or
2013 V40 T5 R design usually between 85-110 kilometers.

Now my main concern is reliability then fuel consumption.
as i will be spending most of my savings so i can’t afford to have major issues.
Any advice and experience is greatly appreciated.
once gains thanks

reliability is best judged by maintenance history and mileage. Any car with under 100K miles (160K kms) should be reliable with expected routine maintance on wear parts (brakes etc, timing belts are wear parts). A well cared for Volvo should be good for 200K+ miles but as with all cars, things will break. Also highly tuned cars typically have higher repair costs due to lower production volumes, more HP means more aggressive drivers, more component stress.

As to fuel consumption - alll cars sold in the US list and EPA mileage test result. My experience is typical mileage is right in that range but will vary based on your driving needs (city? highway?) and style (big right foot?). Google for model specific specs to help your choice.
