Default Desperate looking for help

Hi guys.
I have a 2002-S40 with climate control unit problem.I went to a scrap yard and found 5 units from previous accident cars. All of them were working so I got one.it was working fine for aprox one month but now when I switch on the car with the climate control on 0 the ventilation is still running big time but the AC is off.if I switch the AC on it's cooling but just on one ventilation speed which is I guess the maximum one.So I went back to the scrap yard and tried the rest of the units but same response: with the ventilation switch on 0 the vent is still blowing like it's on 6.I don't think it's the climate control anymore I guess it's something else.
Can somebody advise me please?

Yes, it's not the unit. Chances are, the fan resistor is bad.

Thanks for answering so soon.
Question is: if I'll run a diagnostic,it will pop up as a fault?

I don't know. Do you have a CEL?

To be honest with you, I would have thought you would have tried something else after the 2nd or 3rd control unit.

Let me search for the part for you.
