Default Dilemma..........

Looking at 2 Volvo's. Need some help deciding which is best.
#1 is a 1985 245GL automatic with 97,xxx miles in really good shape.
#2 is a 1990 760 turbo intercooler automatic with 188,xxx miles in good shape.

What should I look for other than the obvious? Is there an inherent problem with either of these cars? I really like both of them, so...........
Any help is always appreciated. I am an old gearhead from way back and just want something different to drive. Again, thanks.
Kerry...........

Both of those models are really solid cars, will last forever IF they were taken care of. I would read up on maintenance records of each one if there are any, and see which one has a complete background. Also check when the last time the timing belts were changed. I personally would take the 245 because I like them, and with only 97k miles on it? You won't ever need another car again. But at the same time, the 760 has a turbo. Personal preference, if they both have good histories, they'll last forever. Or you could save yourself the headache and just buy both of them.

Depending on condition, I would say both could be anywhere between 1k and 2k give or take.

I just looked at a bunch of 240's on CL, and I'm definitely getting one when I'm done with my wagon for a DD. I'm starting to like those more, and more, and moar, and moar, and moar.

Nice, I want a 87-89 240 wagon, preferably turbo, and manual, but that would be a tough combo to find, although there is a blue one for sale in Lafayette right now.

If you really enjoy driving (being an old gearhead from way back) I would get the turbo. I have learned how fun they are.

Once you go turbo, you don't go back. And then after you have that turbo, all you can think about is how to get a bigger turbo in there.
