First Volvo - Already Love It 😍
Hello 👋
I picked up a used 2006 S40 2.4i today and completely enjoyed finding excuses to drive around looking for a hood lift support (which I already had a good idea that I wouldn’t find at the local parts stores).
It was fun getting acquainted with this little “sleeper”!
I don’t know much about it yet, but I did the once through of the owners manual to familiarize myself with the bells and whistles. Compared to the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer I had been driving for the last 14 years, the S40 was like slipping into a F1 car😁
The STC works well, and believe me I tried to spin those tires, but they wouldn’t even after accelerating over some sand on the pavement.
There was definitely a drop jaw experience the first time the fuel pedal quickly went to the floor 😲
I wasn’t expecting much and got curled into the seat a bit!
Other than a few cosmetic blemishes on the headliner and some minor scratches on the rear bumper, it looks and runs like it just came off the showroom floor! Which I’d say isn’t too bad considering the 169049 miles it has already done. Stuffed behind the drivers seat was all of the repair work orders that has ever been done to the car, and the original owners manual and associated booklets from Volvo that came with it new!
Very grateful to have found it 😎
