Default hi from a new volvo owner

just came here to say hello to all you other volvo owners.i brought a volvo v40tdse in jan with 743thousand +miles on the clock but runs very well paid 700 pounds for the car and 160 pounds for a auxilary drive belt and tensioner to be fitted (inc parts)only downsides i find with the car is bumpy ride i believe due to the low profile alloys, and heavy on deisel(ave 32 mpg) ernie

hi,i dont think the previous owner bothered with the scheduled service,i always worry about cam belts going but i have all the info that it had a lot of work done in 2004 owing to cam belt failure so hopefully that should be allright as it has only done 24 thou since then(is it 50thou or 5yrs whichever comes first)this is why i had the auxilarry drive belt done as the bearing had gone on the tensioner and i was told that if that belt snapped it could be sucked up into the cam belt part and snap that one.thank for your advice, allways gratefull for any advice ernie
