So I just bought a V70 XC on a whim from a guy on Clist, because it was a helluva deal. Never owned a swedish car, so i'm excited to learn what's funky and whats not. First thing i gotta do is rebuilt this slushbox transmission. Car wouldn't even drive up onto the trailer by itself, and reverse is shot.

I probably bought a giant turd, but i'm hoping this car turns out to be a blast to own.

Any helpful threads you can think of post them below, and i'll spend my holiday reading up.

 

I'm thinking of making an offer for the same model car on my local craigslist too. No trans problems, but I'm interested in what people have to say about this car too!
