Exclamation Loose cannon plug

Hello fellow Volvo owners,

I just picked up a 2010 C70 conv. Before putting it on the road I'm changing all the fluids and checking all systems. I have no warning lights and no messages. Everything looks to function correctly except the switch from automatic to manual shifting. I'm thinking it coincides with a cannon plug wire I found hanging behind the dash when I changed the cabin air filter ( THAT was a bugger! ). I'll include a couple pics here and hope that someone can help me find the female to this male plug. I've chased the root of the wire and checked what it can reach ( too short to go to the shifter ).

Many thanks in advance!

Rick Wallace of Venice FL

comes from wiring harness just above the brake pedal assembly, has a clip at wire mid-point to secure the wiring.
