More Power
High I’m a new member currently have a 2004 s80 2.9 non turbo and in the near future 2 months down the road am looking to upgrade to a 2008 s80 t6 now I know it already has enough of a power upgrade from my current s80 and I’ve looked for performance upgrades for my 2004 but it’s not really worth it in and people say switch to the next generation t6 if I’m looking for performance so I’m trying to see if anybody has any list of first upgrades or what I should do to get the next s80 t6 around ~300hp so when I do get it I can get straight to work on it.
The easiest would be a polestar tune. Takes the t-6 to ~325 hp, ~354 torque. Unfortunately that is not offered for your 08 s80t6 but is offered for many models with the 08+ t6 engine. Next choice would be an aftermarket tuner such as Hilton - see if he will tune a 08 s80t6.

easiest to add HP to a turbo engine, not so much an NA. To add HP to a turbo, the ECU tune simply remaps the fuel/boost curve and voila, more power. From there you can improve airflow (ie bigger downpipe/free flow exhaust), improve cooling (bigger intercooler/oil cooler etc) but those things start adding the $$. For an NA, you can in fact buy a tune but those mostly remap spark advance and fuel. you can work the exhaust but don't expect more than 10-20 HP total where the turbo tuing can add 50+ HP easy without any reliability issues. Plenty of tuner options, just google "Volvo S80 ECU tune" or similar.
