My New 1998 C70 5 Speed!
Good day everyone,
My name is Chris and I bought a 1998 Volvo C70 5 speed a few weeks ago and wanted to introduce myself. My previous car was a 2000 Saab 9-5 Aero and I owned a 1997 850 wagon before that so I guess its safe to say I love these Swedish cars haha.
The car is Red and has 62xxx miles. I absolutely love the car, I am the 2nd owner of the car and the previous owner was an older gentlemen who obviously barely drove it. He had a folder full of maintenance records which included timing belt that was done at 60000 miles.
Really the only question I have about the car is from my understanding this car is pretty rare since it has the 5 speed. I have always been someone that likes to make my cars unique by modifying them with tasteful mods mainly because I enjoy working on cars like im sure a lot of you do. Personally I never owned a car that is rare like this one here and am not sure if I should change anything on this one. What do you all think? I was planning on doing something with the grill, maybe intake from IPD and possibly something with the exhaust since I love how the 5 cylinders sound.
Im located in Washington State.
Thanks for viewing let me know what you think!

So today I went to the muffler shop to see what they thought. I had them do a straight pipe and my gosh this car sounds amazing. Pretty loud which I'm not sure about but for now it'll do. I kept the stock muffler so I could always put that back but these 5 cylinders sound amazing. Just got my intake, vacuum lines and a new grill in the mail too!
Sweet! Post some pictures when they're installed. I'll probably keep the original grill but most likely will also put in a new intake. I also just ordered new gold/zinc coated performance (drilled and slotted) brake rotors, should stand out on yours too. They come with new ceramic brake pads too, all 4 wheels for under $200.
