Default New 850 turbo wagon

Hey all. Just to let you all know and share I just bought a 95 model year 850 Turbo wagon. The car has 73,000 miles on it and was owned by the same couple all these years. As for maintanence it was kept up really well. Everything was done by the book and the timing belt was just changed at 68K miles. No rattles and creaks when driving and the turbo held boost well. All mounts and hoses appeared to be in great shape. Suspension and brakes were good too. It is champaign in color and only has one pretty minor dent/scratch. The interior is in great shape too. He had all the records too. It was just time for them to get a smaller car. All said and done it cost 6,000 which is less than blue book. I was the first person to respond to his add which he had just posted and the first to see it.

I think I did really well. What do you all think? I will post pics next weekend when I get my camera back.

Congradulations and welcome to forum. First off, the '95 850 is an excellent car and this a wagon at that! Secondly, 73K is very, very low mileage for a car that is 10 years old. $6k for that is an incredible price. Great purchase, great price, great car! You win!

Thanks for the thumbs up. I have never owned a car under 100K miles. I am just so excited. Granted this is for the wife, I get to drive it too. I really can't wait to drive it anywhere. Thanks again and I am glad to have found this forum. I'm not a stranger to cars as I am rebuilding a 77 Datsun 280Z. Even though I probably won't have to fix anything for a while it's nice to be able to.

Off the bat probably not. I will really go through the car and make sure that it is all sound. Houses etc. It looked great when I saw it and drove it and I am assuming it is since it was so well cared for. Probably a new breather (K&N) will be the first thing. I guess I will have to drive it and see what I want. Grassroots Motorsport has a nice write up on the 850 this current issue and talks about all the mods to make it move faster. I guess I am open to any thoughts and opinions. While it will be the wifes car primarily I still want to have some fun.
