Hello all...just found this forum. I purchased a used '97 850 and one month later hit a deer and had the deer's mom hit me!!! Caused $2500 in damage to the front and side of my car. Shockwave moved all the way down the drivers side and killed by antenna. Had it fixed and then one year later was in an accident and did $2500 worth of damage to the same area of my car. Decided I didn't want to fix the car so I traded it in on a used '98 S70. I have had the S70 for a year now and love it! My family owned a '99 S80 and had nothing but problems with it. It averaged being in the shop for something about every two months...it was one of the first S80s manufactured in the first six months of '99. When they went to look at a new Volvo and told the salesman about the '99, the salesman said something about the first S80's having a lot of problems and not blaming them for looking for a new one! They left Volvo and went to Nissan!
