New member.... First Post!
Well, I just bought my wife a '99 S70. We're due with a baby girl in a couple weeks so we needed a better family car. I have to say I have fallen in love with Volvo cars!!! I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T that sucks the life out of me with it's gas milage, and I'm contemplating selling it to get an 850 T5/T5R.
I've researched and it seems to me that the difference between the T5 and the T5R is just an ECU/Boost change to give it more horsepower. Anything cosmetic I could do myself and the boost could be controlled externally. Really you're just paying for the number of the "R". If I'm wrong, someone please correct me because I'm trying to weigh my options here.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and thankyou for all the info.
