New Member - Looking for advice
I joined the forum after browsing the content and seeing a lot of good advice. Yet, I'm looking for some newbie info as I'm considering my first Volvo purchase. I'm looking at a 02 S60, non-turbo, FWD, auto trans. The seller is the second owner, who bought it in 2005. There's 82K miles on it, but mostly those are short distance commuting miles, not highway. I spoke to the owners mechanic, who noted there was very regular mx completed, which was verified in the Carfax.
I'm going to look at it tomorrow and would appreciate any pre-buy pointers from this group.
In advance - thanks for your help!

Welcome to the Forum.
The S60 non-turbo is basically bullet proof and with only 82K miles on it, it is also still a baby in the Volvo world.
Also, being you have already looked at the carfax and spoke with the mechanic, you have already done all the homework you need to do. All I can say is still look the car over very well and give it a good test drive. If everything looks good and feels right, I see know reason why you should not grab it up.

Thanks. Took a good look at it, including the mx records, and took it for drive. I was glad to see the mx included not only oil changes, but also tranny flush, brake replacements, light bulbs, etc...looks to have been regularly maintained. No issues noted except a damaged heat sheild underneath (scape from a speed bump or somthing). Needs to pass the wife's inspection tomorrow, but likely to buy!
