New Member No Volvo Yet
I am hoping to purchase my first Volvo soon. I come mostly from VW. I currently drive a 2004 V8 VW Phaeton. I hope to replace that with an S90 T8. The Phaeton forum in vwvortex has really helped me with issues and I am hoping to find something similar here.

Yesterday I got: 2017 S90 T6 AWD Inscription Polestar, w/Vision, Climate, Convenience, 20" wheels, Metallic Paint, Spoiler. Black Onyx/Amber. Dealer incentives $10,000, VCOA Member Discount (A-Plan Elite) $500. MSRP $67,775. It had 34 miles on the odometer. Sanger Group Volvo, Bakersfield, CA.
Scored an S90 T5 Momentum last month from Sixt Rental, Sea-Tac, and drove it for my 10 day vacation. I felt it was as long a car as I wanted, so instead of ordering the longer 2018 S90, I scrambled to take advantage of the incredible Memorial Day /weekend/ Sale. While on vacation in WA, I used the Internet, to reserve the above S90, thanks to the dealer agreeing to hold it with a $500 credit card charge. I returned to CA, financed it from my local credit union (2.49%), and took check to dealer yesterday (2.5 hours from my home). A local Volvo dealer (10 miles) will service it.
I suspect it is the Polestar enhancement ($1,290 msrp), more than the more powerful motor, which made the car accelerate much more smoothly than the T5 rental.
Now, I have to prep my '04 V8 VW Phaeton for sale.
