New to Volvo - but I like so far
Bought a '99 S70 GLT (with a lot of extra options) with 122k miles earlier this week for $3500. Have most of the records from the prior owner who bought the car CPO in 2000 with 12k on her. It seems to be in great shape and was obviously serviced regularly. I love how it drives, but she unfortunately will be used primarily by my kids.
In the past 3 years (20k)-
-new water pump
-radiator & thermostat
-new belts
-fuel pump relay
-front brake pads and rotors
-new alternator and battery
From '06-09, a faulty throttle module was replaced, A/c evaporator replaced, PCV system cleaned, upper engine mount replaced, turbo boost pressure sensor replaced, and upgrades were made to throttle system and headlight cable. Rear brakes and rotors were replaced at 99k.
The only transmission flush, according to the records, was done at 60k towards the end of 2004.
There's some creaking up front when making a sharp turn (like a u turn). Other then some rattles, everything else is great. No leaks. Very quiet.
Any proactive things you experts would recommend? Any thing to look out for? I've been reading this site for the past 2 weeks. Appreciate the knowledge share that you guys have created.
