Hello all,
Last weekend I purchased my first Volvo, a 2002 V70 XC.
I got this car for a very low price because it has a few issues that I hope to
address. I've always been a Detroit iron guy, but I've long had a soft spot for
Volvos, especially the wagons. I've never had a Euro import, so this will be a
new adventure.
Nice! Hopefully your V70 was well cared for by the prior owner(s). A Euro car purchased at a cheap price still requires new-car repair money to fix. I'm sure you'll address the normal wear items (e.g., suspension, belts, fluids, etc.), but hopefully the transmission, turbo and/or fuel delivery system don't cause a problem. They'll require more work and money to address. I own a 2020 V90 Inscription, which I like a lot, but have a soft spot in my heart for early "boxy" V models. Good luck with your purchase.
