Newbie needs advice.
Hello to all, I am a newbie, so go easy on me. I am in the market for nice, sporty 4D vehicle. I have test driven a few, but today went to my local VOLVO dealer and test drove a 2005 Volvo S40, 5,600 miles on it. I was told it was a loaner car, that they are now selling it. I must say, pretty clean on the outside and inside. Rubber looks good. The vehicle, did not have leather( not a major concern for me). I drove the car, and it was pretty impressive. Felt solid, decent pick up. What else should I be looking for in this vehicle, secondly, the dealer quoted me a price of $23,500, is that decent? Thanks in advance to all.

I have a 2002 S60, which is the next size up from the S40. I've been happy with mine. I bought it used about 5 months ago. If it looks good to you, has decent pick up and doesn't seem to have been abused I would give it serious consideration. I know the S40 is not that big, so make sure the interior has sufficient room. As far as the price, check the online places like e-bay, to see what they are going for.
The one I am looking at is not a turbo. When I test drove the car, I was impressed, it was very tight(new car), I was comfortable in it. For the pick up and go, it was decent, nothing to brag about. When sitting in the car, the layout was very, and I mean, very simple. Overall, I was happy with it. I will probably test drive it one more time. Any advice is appreciated. THANKS!
