Default NEWBIE NEEDS HELP

Hi All. Im new to this and I hope someone can help. I recently had a minor oil leak and antifreeze leak. I had the water pump and thermastat replaced. Now the car idles very low and stalls sometimes. It is also hard to get going because once you put it in gear it stalls unless you hit the gas right away. After I start driving for a lil bit it does not stall as much when I am not applying the gas. I hope it is not something too bad. PLEASE HELP. THANKS

I cant believe I am having a brain fart! I know the answer to this but I just cant remember right now! WHen we were working on my friends Mom's 1986 car she had the same problem and the dealer told us it had to do with the electronics mixing fuel with the air coming in. Why cant I remember what it was called! dooooohhhh

First 2 things to do is clean the throttle body and idle motor. Then look for a vaccum leak.Use the left over carb cleaner from claning the throttle body.Spray around all the vaccum lines with the car running if the idle changes there is a leak there.

Make sure your vehicle isnt back firing etc while using the cleaner...it is very flamable but does the trick. Perhaps listen for a "sucking" noise to get an idea where to spray.
