No power at Distributor with Ignition in Position one
Hi,
I have been reading and re-reading various posts and am at a loss. I changed the timing belt on my 1988 240 and now have no spark. There is power at the coil on one side, but no spark and power at the ECU and Brain. However, there is not any power to the distributor when the key is in position one. All timing marks are accurate and TDC. What a nightmare to say the least. It was running rough, so I realigned the timing marks and now no spark or fuel. Is there supposed to be power at the Distributor in Ignition Position One? I am using a testing light. Also, the previous owner ran a pushbutton from the ignition lock
and it has worked great. So the ignition is turned on and then I push the button and it usually starts.
