A noob from TX
Hi all- I'm new to this forum as well as Volvos. Always liked 'em but never owned one.
I work on Alfa Romeos for a living (because I'm a real masochist
). I'm actually here because I've been helping a family member in her search for a low cost, reliable older car, & yesterday, we got her a '92 740 GL wagon. It has some needs but is by no means a fright pig. I'll be posting a few questions in the 740 section.
Anyway, I've been searching the archives, & I've found some excellent info. I have to say Ikinda like the car. I wouldn't mind having one for myself at some point. I do some mobile jobs & haul parts from time-to-time. One of these would be a much nicer ride than a truck or SUV, & it'd sure beat cramming parts & tools into the trunk of my Milano like I'm doing at the moment. Can a wagon be had with a manual trans & a turbo?
