I just got off the new car lease train, decided to get a cheap, fun little thing. Got a fairly nice 850 turbo with 147k mi. to play with. Front seats are bad, paint is in marginal state on the upper surfaces, but I figured that if this turns out to be a sound car, I'll approach those issues at my leisure. I'll only need this car for puttering around town, since I have other cars and bikes when I need them. I owned an '81 240 with 200k miles on it when I was in real estate, and it was a great car, so who knows. I have tons of experience with old cars and bikes, so I am entering here with eyes open... Look forward to interaction...

Check this out for fixing up your seats: Home

peeling clear coat is not all that uncommon - paint codes can be found on the build plate so matching paints is something most shops can do.

Check out the doors - take a look at the top on the roof you will see a 1/4 inch hole - that's where factory roof racks go! You can find a nice factory rack for your bikes etc... (lol or I can sell you mine).

Thanks for the tips. The seat info is great.
Will your racks hold this bike?

Mine was used more as the "peloton chase car"...you can see how the factory roof rack mounts. I think I'd prefer your ride :-)
