Rear seat jammed down
Help
I went to put the rear seat in my V70 up and discovered that when it was put down it missed the catch and went down too far. The headrest has unfolded and is jammed against the front seat. In order to fold it again I need to lift the seat up and in order to lift the seat up I need to fold it.
Any ideas?

Hi WeeShell, welcome to the forum.
You have a lot of issues here, I really don't know how to help you. To get started, let me ask you a few questions:
1. This is the new member section of the forum used to introduce yourself to other enthusiast, people usually do not read post here for problems.
2. What year car do you have?
3. What part of the seat is stuck? The part you sit on or the part you lean back on?
4. To my knowledge, when folded down, the seats do not latch on anything, just rest, so I'm not sure how it can be stuck.
5. Can you post a photo or video?
If you tell me what car you have, I can move your questions to the section of the forum where people can see it to help you.

Hi
1) sorry I find the site a little hard to navigate
2) 2002
3) backrest
4) managed to solve the problem. It seems that when the seat went down and missed the catch it should rest on, the headrest came in contact with the underside of the seat. This pushed it back into the unfolded position. What I had not realised is it had clicked into place. Pulling the release strap on the headrest allowed it to fold again as I pulled the backrest back up. Hopefully that makes sense.
Thanks for your help anyway
