Snagged a sweet turbo wagon for $500. Had an overheat so I'm taking a chance on the extent of the damage. Only has 114,xxx miles so something has got to be good on this thing. If the engine is trashed, I'll just do a swap--seen some nice looking V8's!

Welcome to the Forum. The engine is probably fine, just take a look at the head. These cars are so easy to fix, you will have it running in no time.

^ yeah that's what I'm thinking since the body and interior are in such good shape, not a speck of rust anywhere. I've found a spare head and some headlights from a parted out volvo here in town so I'll have two heads of unknown quality that together should hopefully make one good 'un.

My first car was a 240 coupe so this 740 wagon is a very nice upgrade!

 

Hey FCP, I'm trying to find the engine locking tool (#5385) for locking up the engine making removal of the timing belt easier. I've gone through your site but can't seem to find one, what am I doing wrong? I'd like to order one...plus a few more items.
