Default simple question

I have a 2007 S80 V8 that I purchased about a year ago. I'm very happy but on the center console there is a button I can't identify even after slowly going through the manual.I'm thinking it could be the adaptive cruise control but it doesn't show. Also it doesn't light up when pressed. Yes, I could take it to my volvo repair but thought I'd ask on this forum. Sory for the silly question but I want to know!! Thanks for any and all help!

It would help if you described the button or posted a picture...

Default Simple question

thanks ES6T for the wake up! While I try and post a photo, in the interim maybe a description would help!
The button has the outline of a car with 3 lines inside the outline. Each line being a little longer than the preceding one.
Does that narrow it?
Thanks very much!

Sounds like the reduced guard button. It deactivates the tilt sensor for the alarm, as well as the interior heartbeat sensor if equipped and I believe deadlocking on European models. See page 64.

Thanks for that! Should a light come on to show activation because there is a "slot" like the others but no light activates. Fuse?

I think there should be a message on the dash. I also don't think the button does anything with the engine running.
