Hi All,
We dive a 62 reg XC60 and it has been no trouble at all apart from this annoying squeek which seems to be coming from the rear on both sides. It doesn't make any noise until it goes over a bump, so usually 10-15 minutes into a journey, then every little jolt sets it off.
The garage says there isn't anything obvious underneath and it must be coming from inside the car. I have greased every hinge and lock, even the seat hinges and locks, to no avail.
Has anyone had any similar experiences / ideas what it could be. It is driving my wife to distraction and is making her want to get rid of it, which is a shame asin every other way it is perfect.
Yes— experiencing the same. Barely 1k miles and we cannot take a road trip without massive creeks, rattles and ongoing vibration sounds from the mirror component. Completely disappointed, you would hope to enjoy a roadtrip after this purchase, but, not so much.

Check the control arm bushings. Which are hided behind the shield covers. I just replaced them last summer. I took me couple years to find out the true culprit. If not fix it, you will have uneven wear on tires. Inner side of tires worn out very fast.
