Default Volvo newb in Keys

Hi, folks.
It seems I've taken over routine maintenance on girlfriend's 1992 Volvo 740 wagon with about 198K miles on it.
She is devoted to it and wants to hang onto it for as long as possible, and in this economic time, that stand is not going to get a lot of debate from me.
I have no experience with Volvos, and have some basic questions I'll ask over in the 740 forum, but wanted to say Hi.
Just from poking around the car, I can see why people like these vehicles so much!
Well-made - despite a real lack of body maintenance, there is no rust visible on this 17-yr-old vehicle, and the everything seems really well laid out.
I'm sure with your help, we can get another 100K out of it easily!

Thanks, Kevin

Default Welcome Kevin

Welcome to the club.

Routine maintenance is of utmost importance yet this is where 85% (or more) drivers fail.

Swedish steel is probably the best quality steel around the globe.

I believe the experts at the 740 forum would take good care of you. If not, come on over to General Volvo Chat.
