Bragging Time.
Haven't been around as much lately as I am an assistant coach on my sons HS track team. He has alway been a runner but about 4-5 weeks ago he asked the head coach if he could try to pole vault. To make a long story short this past weekend at the Regional meet he posted a season best vault of 10'-0" which placed him second in the region and automatically qualified him for the State meet this coming Friday. His 4 x 200m relay team also qualified.
Plus I wasn't around yesterday (Sunday) as I was celebrating my 23rd wedding anniversary.

Good for your son. Kind of funny you mention that. The other day I was on my tractor mowing and the neighbor was doing the same. Petty much haven't talked all winter. So we stopped the tractors and bs'd for a while and he told me his son, who is a Junior, just set a new school record in pole vaulting. Have hardly ever even heard of pole vaulting except in the Olympics, and now two cases of High School kids doing it.
