Default Bragging Time.

Haven't been around as much lately as I am an assistant coach on my sons HS track team. He has alway been a runner but about 4-5 weeks ago he asked the head coach if he could try to pole vault. To make a long story short this past weekend at the Regional meet he posted a season best vault of 10'-0" which placed him second in the region and automatically qualified him for the State meet this coming Friday. His 4 x 200m relay team also qualified.

Plus I wasn't around yesterday (Sunday) as I was celebrating my 23rd wedding anniversary.

I do not consider consider it bragging, just proud of your sons accomplishments. Good luck at state!

Thanks. He needs to get another 6" to 1' to medal at state. He's going to spend all week working his butt off to get it. If anybody can it will be him. He never quits. I've learned more lingo about pole vaulting in the past month than I thought I would ever know.

Good for your son. Kind of funny you mention that. The other day I was on my tractor mowing and the neighbor was doing the same. Petty much haven't talked all winter. So we stopped the tractors and bs'd for a while and he told me his son, who is a Junior, just set a new school record in pole vaulting. Have hardly ever even heard of pole vaulting except in the Olympics, and now two cases of High School kids doing it.

I'm not in track, but I'm in marching band. We have state competition every other year, so I know that to be qualify to compete at state level after a month's worth of practice is very, very impressive.

I was in band, a looooooooong time ago. What instrument? And yes, I'm pretty impressed that he has done this well with so little experience.

Back that up.

It says 23rd wedding anniversary! Since I'm a woman, I commend you and your wife. That's an accomplishment.

Congrats on your son, too, of course.

mkc70 is right. This isn't bragging. If that wife has new fake boobies and you posted them here, that would be bragging.

It was meant as a joke... of course.

Her boobies are real, and she would kill me if I posted a picture of them here.
