I'm new on here and I'm trying to set up my account and post something to ask for help, but it wont let me post more than one and a half lines... wtf?!

 

There's no short character limit - are you trying to cut and paste text or just typing in the dialog box? Sounds like the system may not be recognizing your account properly or you have a browser setting that is getting in the way. Are you able to reply to other threads ie is this problem just when you go to create a thread or anytime you go to message? What browser are you using? also make sure you are fully logged in (check status in the upper right corner of the page's shell header).
