Default Death of the two-door?

It seems impossible, but nobody wants two doors any more. It also seems nobody wants cars either. The SUV is king. I can't help but wonder how this happened......even to pickup trucks!

How did the demographic shift so much? What happened? Marketing? My assumption is that when I was young (30 years ago) a car was a source of prestige and looking cool. Now young people just consider a vehicle as a tool. They look cool by having a specific kind of cell phone?

Not exactly. We are busier and use our cars more. A two-door model is not practical when you use it a lot. People would rather open the back door and put in luggage or a friend rather than crawl over a tilted front seat.

Years ago, the larger the car the better and that still holds true today. We just expanded those cars upward instead of longer-wider-lower.
