So, I'm an a*#hole!
I know it, most of you know it!
But seriously, I am straight to the point when it comes to technical stuff and I don't gloss over something if it's incorrect. That probably appears rude, but it is not meant to be.
I also can't stand when internet myths are offered up as explanations for a problem, and will stomp on them pretty hard when I see them. This is not personal.
I know I've been even worse in the past 12 months, I have been dealing with a shoulder injury that won't go away and will now require surgery. What that means is I haven't been sleeping well and have been forced to look at changing my career out of automotive and trades (I can't use the shoulder for overhead work or with the arm extended and with a lot of weight on it).
It also means most weekends, I sit around nursing a sore shoulder from the work week and don't get to do anything but essential work on my vehicles, which I really hate. Working on my vehicles is something I enjoy.
So my life has been evolving a lot lately and stress makes people bad sometimes.
None of the above is an excuse, merely an explanation. Ignore it if you want!
Anyway, my apologies for being nasty to those of you who I was nasty to. And if you deserved it, whatever
Regards, Andrew.

Andrew, to answer your first question... USUALLY!!! LOL Just kidding. I really haven't noticed any attitude with you. Pain and unwanted change usually makes us grumpy.
Believe you me, I know the feeling. I'm going through a lot of change myself over the past 18 months. Illness in the family. I will be out of my career in another 60 days. Not sure what I will be doing then. I believe something will open up.

Andrew, i always appreciate your honesty, but more importantly, i really appreciate that you know what the frik you're talking about!!
Keep up the great work and glad to see you've been posting more lately..
BTW: if it were me, i would go through a lot of PT (physical therapy) before going under the knife.. good luck!

Tried PT, no help. I have subacromial impingement caused partly by a bone spur and a type 2 acromion. Throw in ganglion in the suprascapular notch and some tendon tears.
Let this be a warning to younger guys, don't push your body too hard just for a job. At the end of the day, your old employers will be long gone and you'll have to deal with it all yourself.
Fortunately for me, the missus and I have good private health cover and the surgery promises to be very successful.
