Updates
After nearly 4 months of absence from the beloved forum, I have just spent approx 5 hours today organising New Members Area. I have moved some posts to their appropriate forums, and I apologise if this should cause some confusion.
Been depressed for a few reasons in the last few months (mostly due to being stuck in Japan), which prevented me from coming to the forum. Had a loss of a family memberat the end ofSeptember. Oh well, life goes on, I am back and will be back on line as I used to be.
I feel that I need a break, hope & good laugh.
Good to see you guys.

Thanks BMB, Jim & Gordon!!!!!!!

.
I think many of us are in the same or similar situations; financial market being down, economy being down, politicians making us feel down, many of us are either unemployed or has to endure trivial jobs for minimal wages with screwed up colleagues, oil price that has nothing to do with the reserve (hey fat-bellied stock brokers & investors, are you listening?), etc...
[:@][8D].
Oh well, the more of us here, the better
P.S: Theforum still seems to have apostrophe & other minor problems.

JPN, welcome back.
When I told my wife you had dropped out of circulation about the time of an earthquake in Japan she feared the worst.
Now that she knows you are OK she won't be asking me every day, "Has JPN come back yet?" Yes, every day.
Bill.

Dear Bill,
Thank you & your wife for being thoughtful. I managed to hold on to the planet at the time of the earthquake (it was actually hundreds of miles/kilometers away from where I currently live (stuck/trapped), which is Narita.
I have been drinking a bit of The Macallan-12, which does have different flavour compared to my favourite Glenlivet-18. I also tried Laphroaig-10, which has strong smoky flavour with abundant use of peat; classic of Islay malt. I’d better start www.singlemaltforums.com.
Cheers,
JPN

Dear v70 s.4t,
Thanks for your thoughtfulness!!!!!

Lately, I’ve been feeling that I am way too Westernised for a Japanese man. I left the United States in March 2007 (1 year work visa expired[8D]), and I've been depressed ever since. 97% of my friends are Americans, 2% English, 1% Japanese.
I used to drink only 2-3 days/week, but now I drink everyday
. This may also be due to fine single malt Scotch, though
.
Thanks again, and see you around.

Hey JPN,
Glad you're back. I hope and pray that your depression fades away and even more that you'll be able to find a path back to the Western world. I've been out for awhile too, but I had noticed your absence before I got distracted with other things.
You are an asset to the forum and it's good to have you back.

Dear 99VV70,
Thank you for your warm welcome back, I feel at home here
.
Hopefully, I can return to the good old States not too far in the future and get myself a Volvo again, not the one with slipping tranny or chronic CEL/ABS light
.
See you around,
