Default WTF is on TV these days...

Man, I just watched an episode of "Texas Car Wars" last night; what a POS of a show (Jeez, i must have been bored!)!

If that's what qualifies for a TV show now, they should make a show about this forum.. at least it would be somewhat educational!

Synopsis:
Various car shops (apparently in Austin area) go to JY auctions and bid on POS cars, try to fix for min $$$, and flip them. Only one problem; none of these guys are very good at fixing cars!!

Doesn't give car guys a very good name; these guys are dumb!

Other than sports I find myself watching stuff I've downloded over the years. Over the past year I've logged alot of time watching;
1) Ozzie and Harriet
2) Dangerman (or Secret Agent, same show)
3) The Rebel
4)Guns of Will Sonnet

and the wife (who does watch some current stuff) is presently watching 3 to 4 episodes of 'The Waltons' a week.

All of these old shows - I think - are better than the junk that is produced today. The Batchelor (ette)? America's Got Talent? Parenthood?
Pass me a big barf bucket.

I haven't had pay TV for about 2 years now and don't miss it. I have an Air antenna and get about 18 digital channels, 4 of which are HD (picture and sound).

As for those num-nuts that are flipping junk cars to people that really can't afford to buy a car, it's sick that they would show that crap. I'm sure they are making more money from the show than the cars they stick people with.

I watch about 4 different shows per week on TV. Sad that my wife has to sit in front of it all week long.

sounds like they took the concept of a show from the UK (wheeler dealers) which is a shame, because in the UK it's actually a pretty good show, and you can actually learn a few tips and tricks for your own car/repairs etc...

but pretty much, all TV/reality shows are just ****...
there are some good shows out there, but they're the funnyish type of sitcom things....when you run out of good old shows to watch...
