I recently refurbished my Volvo Penta Tamd-30a and the engine runs great, only problem being that I have to manually kill the engine with a small choke located on the side of the diesel pump. The boat does not come equipped with a choke on-hand, so before I go ahead and create one I would like to see if anyone has any idea what causes this. The key works like a charm to start the engine, but won’t kill it.
